Dear Client,

 

Thank you so much for entrusting me to not only capture precious moments, but for simply allowing me to step inside your 'circle.'  For the parents who welcome me into their home just days after your fragile baby enters the world, I want to say Thank You.  I understand the pressure you may feel prior to a photo session.  In order for me to capture the real you and the real family, it is obvious that you have to let your guard down...just a little.  I have seen parents show despair, confusion, excitment, love, joy, AND I assure you that all these occur in my home - like, every SINGLE day.  It's here in this connection of family and relationships that the photographs "happen." 

 

And I don't take it for granted.  Not even for 1/250th of a second.

 

I hope you care for your prints.  They are memories.  REAL moments that have breath, laughter, tension,  boogers (and I learned to bring something other than my sleeve to wipe your kid's snot), tears, hugs, and kisses.  Oh, and did I mention smiles, grins, and eye rolling?

 

 After the kids leave, you will have time capsules to dust off and enjoy.   Teach your children to cherish them as well.  Because life is real.  Life ends.  Life goes on.  Give them memories to treasure so they can share with the next generation.
